I have the ear of some of the developers there so I can point out what people are interested in. Or are you referring to the guest "boxes?" Regarding graphics are you referring to lower thirds? The new animated ones are better than the old ones. Outside of Rendezvou it might be the best way to show individual callers.

Are you looking for a persistent URL?īTW you could use Skype which does have NDI for each caller unlike Zoom. You do need to generate a new URL as the ones created don't last very long (a day or so). Not sure what you mean by "hold" between sessions. Keep in mind WebRTC (same technology used in several program including vMix) is primarily peer to peer and uses a fair amount of bandwidth compared to propritery systems like Zoom. You can also text chat with guests if you need to so that isn't heard.

Wirecast Rendezvous allows you to bring in guests and you can probably add new ones as others drop off. Yes - and (not very well communicated by me) - differentiator questions what makes one of them a slam dunk over the others.Ĭurious what you're looking for in a "Call In" tool. Were you just asking for opinions of those 3? I agree with others tho, I'm not sure you had a specific question.

Didn't know that teams can bring in ISO feeds. I'm doing a local setup with screen share - it's that my remote colleague gets a very low res version. You could also bring the caller in using MS Teams, then NDI for ISO feeds, and they could share their screen in Teams and you capture it via NDI Studio Tools. If your sharing your screen you can use Remote Desktop Presenter.

($700 now) Rendesvous I believe is their "call in" feature you mention, although I don't think that handles remote screen share. Although, it seems its gotten more expensive the last few years. Wirecast's interface reminds me more of a true switcher. It just has buckets of people doing weird (but wonderful) development.

Open source software generally has a rough UI. Personally I like Wirecast more than OBS. Quality isn't a huge as of an issue as much as seamless needs. No Boinxtv (or whatever they're calling it.) No ATEM mini. Found an AI background remover.but gotta stay on v 27 for that. OBS - seems like buckets and buckets of "You grab this from here and that from there." Found the call in tool.(Recording to ProRes and two ISO streams.) The "call in" feature is a bit squirrely (it doesn't really hold between sessions. Seriously, this is the only thing the system can do while it's going on. My Question: Any decent reviews/experience or differential questions to make the decision? I'm right now setup with Wirecast but have the options for OBS or Ecamm.īasically, record, he "phones in", I do a live switch via a stream deck iso of both of us (but it could really be audio only isos.)īring into premiere, use shot detection, check the record. Trying to figure out a semi-bulletproof setup to do remote recording/screen share.
